Western PA Announces Scholarship
91´«Ã½ of Western PA is awarding a $1,500 education scholarship for college sophomores or juniors studying metallurgy or materials science. This scholarship is part of the Commercial Heat Treater of the Year Award recently awarded to 91´«Ã½ of Western PA by the Metal Treating Institute (MTI) in cooperation with Industrial Heatingmagazine.
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
1. Be a current college or university sophomore or junior who plans to enroll in a full-time field of study at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school located in the United States for the entire 2013 -2014 academic year and majoring in the field of metallurgy or materials science.
2. Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.
3. Applicant must demonstrate a desire to have a career in the field of metallurgy, materials science.
4. Applicants may not be related to any 91´«Ã½ staff for this presents a conflict of interest.
