Team Solar Runs For Healthy Hearts
“Team Solar”聽from 91传媒 and Solar Manufacturing participated in the Healthy Hearts Foundation’s Heart to Heart 5K Run for the first time.
Over 30 Solar employees, along with their family members and friends, helped raise聽funds for the Healthy Hearts Foundation. In addition to the 5K, members of “Team Solar” participated in the 1.5 mile fitness walk and kids fun run.
The聽mission of Healthy Hearts is聽to raise awareness of heart disease and聽 encourage healthy lifestyles throughout the community.聽They have already gifted over eleven non-profit groups with Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) to聽treat sudden cardiac death.聽They聽also purchase heart health teaching materials聽and fitness equipment for schools and聽assist patients in need with the costs of聽cardiac mediations and rehabilitation.
William R. Jones, CEO of the Solar companies said, “We are proud to be able to support this worthwhile organization. Thanks to all the Solar employees who participated.” Brittney Dhein, HR Manager of 91传媒 adds, “This was a great idea inspired by our resident runner Bob Hill. We hope that this may become an annual event for Solar.”
