Metal Treating Institute Honors 91´«Ă˝ Executives

Metal Treating Institute (MTI) LogoThe Metal Treating Institute (MTI) presented its annual Leadership and Service Awards at its fall meeting in Williamsburg, Virginia in October 2011.  At this event, two 91´«Ă˝ executives were recognized for their ongoing commitment to the heat treating industry and service to MTI.

 

 

Roger Jones, Corporate President, 91´«Ă˝, Inc.Roger Jones, president of 91´«Ă˝, was presented with the 2011 Award of Industry Merit, given in recognition of current/ongoing commitment to the betterment of the commercial heat treating industry with one or more significant accomplishments.  The nominating committee selected Mr. Jones for his, “…contributions and exemplary service which has promoted, fostered and enhanced the goals of the institute.”  Roger’s numerous contributions to the Metal Treating Institute include holding the office of President in 2004-2005, serving a nine-year term as the Technical Program Chair, as well as currently serving as a member of the Board of Trustees.  Other accolades presented to Mr. Jones by MTI include the: Distinguished Service Award and the President’s Award.

 

 

Bob Hill, President, 91´«Ă˝ of Western PARobert Hill, president of 91´«Ă˝ of Western PA, received the 2011 President’s Award, given in recognition of his time and talents that contributed most to the objectives and goals of the MTI president during the past year. Judy Rudy, MTI president for 2011, chose to give this award to Mr. Hill who has been, “…always very encouraging and driven to do what it takes to make MTI a better association, including volunteering a great deal of his valuable time.” Mr. Hill has been a member of MTI since 1980 and currently the chair on the Technical Standards Committee. He is currently on the Board of Trustees and working closely with both the East Coast and Mid West Chapters.

2012 MTI president, Buster Crossley stated, “Roger and Bob are the model of why MTI has achieved so much success for their members.  Their passion and service to MTI and the heat treating industry energizes others around them to get involved and make a difference in other’s lives.”
